2008 Year of Lace
268 knitters from around the globe joined us on the first Year of Lace: 2008, running through December 2008. Here's a quick peak at some of the projects so far!

May 2008: Phoenix Rising
This kit from Sivia Harding featured Handpainted 100% Silk Lace from Claudia's Handpainted Yarns and clear triangular beads.

June 2008: Berry Blue-tiful Summer Stole
Joan Schrouder designed this gorgeous rectangular stole using Helen's Lace from Lorna's Laces.

September 2008: Silver Birches
Amy Swenson was inspired by Siberian Birch trees for this shawl, knit in pure cashmere from HandMaiden Yarns.

December 2008: Snowdrop Shawl
Nancy Bush developed this Estonian lace stole for a natural white merino lace, from Fireside Yarns.
